Jubilee Exhibition June 2012

A colourful exhibition was held in June 2012 to celebrate HM The Queen's 60 Diamond Jubilee. We had over 700 visitors over the two days passing through the village hall. Local school children were invited and took part in a 'royal' quiz. Villagers of all ages volunteered their time. Their baking skills, practical  help, hours of serving teas and manning the 'welcome desk', all helped to  make this event such a success.

The exhibition consisted of many photographic images from the archives of the late  Terry Fincher and his daughter Jayne , both professional photographers from Blackheath.

A wide range of Royal memorabilia also formed a large part of the exhibition.

A popular feature for visitors, ' Tea with The Queen' , where delicious home-made cakes and cream and scones were served whilst viewing the exhibition. A celebration indeed.
