The Millennium.  Blackheath villagers and members of their families posed for a group photograph taken by Terry Fincher. In the photograph the oldest member of the group Billie Hockey holds the youngest  resident of Blackheath Harry Barlow.

A celebration bbq was held at the cricket club and their were many attractions to entertain everyone including a  large hot air balloon that was tethered in the hope that people could have a short ride. Due to high winds, the sensible organisers decided it was  a bit too risky!
